With its 38 appellations, the Bordeaux vineyard is the most important in France in terms of AOC. Some of the wines produced there are among the most famous and expensive in the world, making Bordeaux a world benchmark in terms of wine production.
The vineyard's production is varied: around 80% red wines (such as Pomerol or Pauillac) and 20% dry white wines (such as Entre-deux-mers or Pessac-Léognan) or sweet (for example Sauternes or Cadillac), to which are added rosés, clairets, and sparkling wines (crémant de Bordeaux).
Description
Pontet Canet is a renowned winery located in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux. Known for their commitment to biodynamic farming practices, they produce exceptional quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region.
This 1995 vintage of Pontet Canet Pauillac is a classic Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The wine exhibits a deep garnet color with aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied with velvety tannins, ripe fruit flavors, and a long, complex finish. This wine has aged gracefully and is drinking beautifully now, but still has potential for further cellaring.
