With its 38 appellations, the Bordeaux vineyard is the most important in France in terms of AOC. Some of the wines produced there are among the most famous and expensive in the world, making Bordeaux a world benchmark in terms of wine production.
The vineyard's production is varied: around 80% red wines (such as Pomerol or Pauillac) and 20% dry white wines (such as Entre-deux-mers or Pessac-Léognan) or sweet (for example Sauternes or Cadillac), to which are added rosés, clairets, and sparkling wines (crémant de Bordeaux).
Description
Château de Sales is one of the oldest and largest estates in the Pomerol appellation, known for producing high-quality wines since the 17th century. With a commitment to traditional winemaking techniques, the estate focuses on producing elegant and age-worthy wines.
The DE SALES POMEROL 1990 is a classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc. This vintage showcases a deep garnet color with complex aromas of black cherries, plums, tobacco, and hints of leather. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with velvety tannins and well-integrated oak, leading to a long, smooth finish.
